STARIK I MORE - THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA
SEAFOOD, ASIAN DISHES AND THE DESIGN OF AN AMERICAN MILITARY BASE CANTEEN
A fast-casual restaurant named "The old man and the sea" opened on Chistoprudny Blvd. door to door with the cinema Rolan.
With a moniker like that, the food is likely a variety of seafood dishes.
And it is. The menu spans seafood like fresh oysters and sea urchins, salmon sashimi (352 rubles) or sea bream (421 rubles).
Inspired by the atmosphere of a canteen in an American military base somewhere in Southeast Asia, the authors of the project wanted to combine Asia and America in one place.
The design included bags of rice, dried pepper and chilis, light cans and spices and wooden crates for storing products.
The service is brief. For example, there are no waiters per se, you order your food at the cashier, and the readiness of the orders is reported by calling your name over the loudspeaker: Alexander, your salmon sashimi is ready!
Customers can enjoy their food at a communal or separate table.
As for the food, the owners emphasized quality ingredients.
Dishes blend and balance the spices and flavours of Asia with American and European influences. The menu is continually and progressively evolving, reflecting the inspiration and the seasons.
Through the careful selection of authentic and quality ingredients, the team at The old man and the sea aims to take you on a culinary journey throughout all of Asia.
They have created a comfortable and casual gathering place for friends and family to enjoy honest Asian and seafood comfort food and to provide you with an unforgettable experience.
Please note that this restaurant is currently very busy at any time and reservations are not possible!
